Happy Birthday Norris!

My big guy turned 4 on January 15th! Feel free to sing along...

Happy happy birthday Norris dear,
happy days will come to you all year,
if I had a wish then it would be,
a right knee surgery to you from me!

It's true, he doesn't want it but Norris needs and will be getting knee surgery for his birthday :( Well not ON his birthday, that would just be cruel but soon. It's so sad to see him like this, he hasn't been upstairs in over a month and now sleeps under our dining room table most of the day and all night. He can still get around but it's hard to get up and down and his knee makes a horrible popping sound with each step (probably bone on bone). We've tried to put it off but the poor guy is gonna need surgery. We'll let you know when we find out the date. (which if anyone has had to decide between the 2 surgical options give me your input!)

But on a happier note we of course had a party to celebrate his 4th birthday. No party is complete without balloons, party hats, cake, and a present. Of course he had all of the above courtesy of the best mom and dad ever :)

Look at these two hams ready for the party :)

Norris is always usually happy to share with his baby sister...but not the cat which explains his absence in the pictures
he also shares with his Dad

and even helps him clean up :)

Besides a surgery, Norris got this little guy who we like to call "the coati" (remember the Brazilian animals?)
I ♥ this boy
(Surprisingly he didn't immediately de-stuff the poor coati so Baby has since rescued and mothered it)

As I'm sure you already know, we love our Norris boy to pieces and hope he gets feeling better soon so we can have many more birthdays to come with him!
Love you Buddy!

Happy Birthday Norris! Bummer about his knee... our St. Bernard had knee surgery a couple days after I did so we both got to be bums together with our knees! I hope it goes well for him so he'll be back to running in no time!

PS- Love the new layout!

I hope his surgery goes well whenever it is! So sad. We do have kids the same age--just different "breeds". haha
